Terry L. Valois, CPP, PCI / Owner and Principal
Terry founded GreyFox after 35 years of national security service in the military, federal government and private management-consulting sector. Mr. Valois is a four-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in East Asia as a Cryptologic Technician. He joined the Central Intelligence Agency in 1980, serving in the Directorates of Administration, Science and Technology (including the National Reconnaissance Office), and Operations for more than two and a half decades. His private sector experience encompassed work as a contract technical operations and counterintelligence officer, risk management specialist, and program protection officer with several major management-consulting firms in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He is a recognized expert in crafting protection strategies specific to each client’s unique security needs and requirements.
Mr. Valois gained broad cross-cultural experience and knowledge during a career spent living and traveling abroad, in both benign and hostile environments. He served in East and South Asia, Africa, the Balkans, Eastern Europe and South America.
Mr. Valois earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and a Master’s of Science degree in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College (JMIC), currently known as the National Intelligence University (NIU).
